Ingredients

Scale

For the Base Layer:
1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
1 cup powdered sugar
1 cup peanut butter (creamy or chunky)
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

For the Chocolate Topping:
1 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
1/4 cup peanut butter

Instructions

For the Base Layer:
In a medium-sized bowl, mix the graham cracker crumbs and powdered sugar together.
Add the peanut butter and melted butter, stirring until the mixture is smooth and fully combined.
Press the mixture evenly into the bottom of a greased 9×9-inch baking dish or line the dish with parchment paper for easy removal.

For the Chocolate Topping:
In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and peanut butter.
Microwave the mixture in 20-30 second intervals, stirring in between, until the chocolate is melted and smooth.
Pour the chocolate mixture over the peanut butter base, spreading it out evenly with a spatula.

To Set:
Refrigerate the bars for at least 2 hours, or until they are firm and set.
Once set, cut the bars into squares and serve.

Notes

For an extra touch, you can sprinkle some chopped peanuts on top of the chocolate layer before refrigerating.
You can also substitute the graham cracker crumbs with digestive biscuits or crushed cookies for a different flavor base.
If you prefer a sweeter topping, you can use milk chocolate chips instead of semisweet.
