Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz pasta (penne, rotini, or rigatoni)
  • 1 lb ground beef (or thinly sliced steak)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream (or half-and-half)
  • 1 ½ cups shredded provolone cheese (or mozzarella)
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons cream cheese (for extra creaminess)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

1️⃣ Cook the pasta: Boil pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

2️⃣ Sauté the vegetables: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced onions and bell peppers. Cook for 4-5 minutes until soft. Add minced garlic and cook for another 30 seconds. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

3️⃣ Cook the beef: In the same skillet, cook ground beef (or sliced steak) over medium-high heat until browned and fully cooked. Drain excess grease. Add Worcestershire sauce, salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika. Stir well.

4️⃣ Make the cheese sauce: Pour in beef broth and heavy cream. Stir in cream cheese until melted. Gradually add shredded provolone (or mozzarella) and cheddar cheese, stirring until smooth.

5️⃣ Combine everything: Add the cooked pasta and sautéed vegetables back into the skillet. Stir until fully coated in the creamy cheese sauce.

6️⃣ Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley and enjoy warm!

Notes

For extra flavor, top with crispy fried onions or melted provolone slices before serving!
