Easy Honey Garlic Ground Beef and Broccoli

Easy Honey Garlic Ground Beef and Broccoli is a fast, flavorful dinner that brings together sweet, savory, and garlicky notes in one comforting skillet. Juicy ground beef is browned and simmered in a sticky honey garlic sauce, then tossed with tender broccoli for a satisfying meal that’s perfect over rice or noodles. It’s a one-pan dish ideal for busy weeknights without sacrificing flavor.

Ingredients

Scale

1 pound ground beef
2 cups broccoli florets, fresh or frozen
1 tablespoon sesame oil or neutral oil
3 garlic cloves, minced
¼ cup honey
¼ cup soy sauce
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
1 tablespoon cornstarch
¼ cup water
1 teaspoon fresh grated ginger (optional)
Salt and pepper to taste
Sesame seeds or chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it up as it cooks. Drain any excess fat and season with a pinch of salt and pepper.

While the beef is cooking, steam or blanch the broccoli until just tender but still crisp. If using frozen broccoli, thaw and drain well.

Push the beef to one side of the skillet and add the oil and minced garlic. Cook for about a minute until fragrant, then mix it into the beef.

In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, cornstarch, water, and grated ginger if using. Pour the sauce into the skillet and stir to combine everything.

Simmer the mixture for 2 to 3 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the beef evenly. Add the cooked broccoli and toss to combine.

Serve hot over rice or noodles, garnished with sesame seeds or green onions if desired.

Notes

For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes or a splash of sriracha to the sauce. This dish can be made ahead and reheats well, making it great for meal prep. Swap ground beef with ground turkey or chicken for a lighter version, or use cauliflower rice for a lower-carb option.
