Air Fryer Bread in 30 Minutes

This quick Air Fryer Bread is soft on the inside with a lightly golden, crisp crust, all ready in just 30 minutes from start to finish. Using instant yeast and no complicated steps, it’s perfect for when you want fresh bread fast without turning on the oven. The small-batch dough rises quickly and bakes beautifully in the compact heat of the air fryer, making it ideal for beginners or busy days.

Ingredients

Scale

1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon instant yeast
¼ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon sugar
½ cup warm water (about 110°F)
1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, instant yeast, salt, and sugar. Stir in the warm water and olive oil until a shaggy dough forms.

Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic. Cover with a clean towel and let it rest for 10 to 15 minutes to allow a quick rise.

After resting, shape the dough into a round loaf or small oval, depending on the size of your air fryer basket. Line the basket with parchment paper or lightly grease it, then place the dough inside.

Set the air fryer to 330°F and bake the bread for 15 to 18 minutes, or until the top is golden and the loaf sounds hollow when tapped.

Remove from the air fryer and let cool for a few minutes before slicing.

Notes

This recipe is best suited for a small loaf or two mini rolls. For added flavor, you can mix in herbs, garlic powder, or shredded cheese. If your air fryer runs hot, check the bread at the 12-minute mark to avoid over-browning. The dough can also be prepped ahead and refrigerated for up to a day before baking.
